Climate Protectors–

350Hawaii’s main goals for 2018 are to demand

  • An immediate halt to all new fossil fuel projects.
  • A just and equitable transition to 100% renewable energy for all.
  • Not a penny more for dirty energy.

On September 8th, elected officials from around the world will meet in San Francisco for the Global Climate Action Summit. We want to push as many elected officials as we can to commit to the demands outlined above before then.

Join us!  We’re making noise to demand real climate leadership from elected officials at all levels of government from today until September 8th, when we’ll march on city halls and statehouses nationwide as part of a global day of action we’re calling Rise for Climate, Jobs & Justice.

On September 8, thousands of rallies will be held in cities and towns around the world to demand our local leaders commit to building a fossil free world that works for all of us.

We will meet in the Capitol rotunda and march to Honolulu Hale, one block away. We’ll nag the legislature to move faster on climate change, and depending on the status of our Fossil Fuel-Free resolution, we’ll either be protesting the City Council dragging their feet, or thanking them for passing it. Bring signs!
